Despite having a last name that mathematically represents only part of a whole, there is nothing missing from Vanessa Fraction’s comedy. A talented writer and charismatic performer, the elegant and fearlessly funny Fraction has found great success since she emerged on the comedy scene in 2001.
Her performances have been featured on such shows as Nick Jr’s, “Nick Mom Night Out”, Mike Epps Live at Club Nokia, Martin Lawrence’s 1st Amendment Standup, Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam and more. Fraction has been featured at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and has been a finalist for NBC’s Standup for Diversity Showcase.
After performing on The Mo’Nique Show; Fraction was brought on as a staff writer for the show’s second season. Following that experience Vanessa became comedy writer for BET’s 106 & Park and freelance comedy writer for the reboot of the Arsenio Hall Show on CBS.
As an actress, Vanessa has appeared in movies Barber Shop 2 and Holiday Love, in addition to tv roles on episodes of The Rickey Smiley Show and Second Generation Wayans.
